Film, television and stage actor, Michael Spellman is imported from Detroit, Michigan. As a graduate of New York City’s American Academy of Dramatic Arts and Balliol College at Oxford, he made his film debut in the award winning indie production How to Ace an Intervention. In his breakthrough television role, he played recurring character Dr. Jim Babinski in the long-running series ER. His first role in a major release was in Mike Nichols’ final film, Charlie Wilson’s War, alongside Tom Hanks and Philip Seymour Hoffman. Other key acting roles include Gordie on Hawaii Five-0, Capt. Earl Kynette on Strange Angel, Adam on How I Met Your Mother and Clifford in the upcoming streaming series Geisting. You can also see him opposite Samuel L. Jackson as the title character in the Capital One commercial, “Gary,” directed by Spike Lee.
